S E E D is working with Mitchell Taylor Workshop to help create a considered and intimate setting for an affordable housing scheme.
The design integrates pedestrian areas, car parking, play space and landformed communal gardens in a scheme that seeks to connect with the surrounding neighbourhood as much as providing a space for the tenants. A dense planting of birch with low native underplanting, echoes the local acid heathland habitats and provides a soft buffer between the housing and the surrounding buildings, as well as creating a strong sense of identity for the site.
